Enrolment & students
Enrol a student, import a whole class, then assign to classes.
1. Enrol a student
- Open Enrolment. Menu
Enrolment→New student. - Identity. Name, date and place of birth, sex, optionally a photo.
- Guardians & contacts. Add one or more guardians and their details — used for family accounts and reminders.
- Class & fees. Choose the class and the applicable fee schedule.
- Save. A readable ID number is assigned automatically (e.g.
2027-COL-0001).
2. Bulk import (Excel / CSV)
- Open the import. Menu
Students→Import. Download the template. - Fill the template. One row per student; keep the
id numbercolumn for any later re-import. - Drop the file & check. The import is all-or-nothing: on error, nothing is written and the report points to the row to fix.
Careful
The id number is the key: re-importing a corrected file updates existing students. An
import without id numbers creates new students (duplicates).
3. Assign students to classes
- Open the class. Menu
Classes→ open the class (e.g.Grade 9). Students tab, thenAssign.- Tick & confirm. Tick the students to add, then
Confirm.
Info
A student enrolled but not assigned appears neither in attendance sheets nor grade grids. Remember to assign after an import.
